Wombourne Players present 'Visiting Hour' by Richard Harris. An ensemble piece of six scenes mixing comedy and drama to make an entertaining evening. In Plaster a husband, hospitalised following a car accident, is visited with hilarious results by his canny wife. Keeping Mum is a poignant monologue by a middle aged daughter, whilst Show Business follows the satirical vagaries of a TV crew filming a documentary. Going Home shows how class divides come crashing down with shared experiences and Waiting we see a lonely old man visited by memories of childhood and marriage. Round off with Magic, where a timid spinster is visited by her crass work colleague and husband, who is given to appalling jokes and conjuring tricks. From Wed, 18th May to Sat, 21st May 2016.
